Nukeproof officially announced its return to Downhill World Cup the scene, after becoming the new title and bike sponsor of Axess Racing. The partnership is agreed for a term of three years.
Following the withdrawal of the previous bike sponsor Intense, Nukeproof takes on a key role in the team, which will now compete under the name Nukeproof Axess Racing.
Nukeproof Dissent – the weapon for the World Cup
For the next three racing seasons, Nukeproof will be the official bike supplier for the team, with all riders riding on Nukeproof Dissent during the rounds of the Downhill World Cup.
The Dissent is a proven downhill bike, designed specifically for the highest level of competitive riding, with a focus on stability, speed, and control under extreme conditions.
Confirmed racing lineup for the 2026 season
Along with the new title sponsor, the full team roster for the 2026 season was announced. The team retains:
- Joe Breeden
- Juanfer Munoz

- Mille Johnset
- Louise Ferguson
- Milatul Khaqimah
- Camden Rutherford
Focus on innovation and development
Clive Gosling, Brand Director at Nukeproof, commented that the initial plans for participating in the World Cup were aimed at 2027, but the opportunity to join earlier came naturally.
The partnership developed very quickly and logically. We have our own aerodynamic tunnel at our Belgian headquarters, which will allow us to optimize the position, components, and equipment of the racers during the winter to gain every possible second of advantage.
On his part, Axess Racing owner Joe Breeden emphasizes that the collaboration with Nukeproof marks a new stage in the team's development.
In today's World Cup, every small difference matters. To win, you need to work with a brand that invests in innovation and pushes the limits of what's possible.
More than World Cup
In addition to participating in the Downhill World Cup, the team confirmed that it will continue to attend iconic events such as Red Bull Hardline and Cerro Abajo.
The full list of sponsors for Nukeproof Axess Racing is expected to be announced in January.
